ABOUT LAURA E. KIM

 

 

Hello! I am a portrait artist and former K-12 art teacher living in Blaine, MN. My background is in teaching K-12 art, Art I, Sculpture I, Sculpture II, Sculpture III, and AP Sculpture classes for grades K-12. I have taught both in Killeen, TX, and in Glenwood City, WI.

 

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, along with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and a Spanish minor from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. 

 

As an artist, I love figurative painting and drawing, and throwing pottery on the wheel. When it comes to teaching, I've worked to develop a curriculum that gives students the tools and confidence needed to create art that is both technically strong and visually expressive. I believe God is the original and most incredible artist, and I draw daily inspiration from His creation all around me!

My husband, Elliot, and I live in Blaine, MN, with our daughter, Gracelaine, and our dog, Nacho.
